Jul 31, 2010 - @MisterIndividualGuy well its a hot botton issue with a lot of them understandably so considering its one of the most obvious biases in this country.
trueswordsexpert0909 Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @mmedefarge that might be your interpertion of the situation, that women typically need to be protected even tho Males experienced higher victimization rates than females for all types of violent crime except rape/sexual assault(and yet we have a violence against women act). Again just because u think its rare doesnt mean it doesnt happen as I have just proven with my example.Again at least we can agree on something tho:)
MisterIndividualGuy Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @trueswordsexpert0909 yea I knew about that. That was one of the first things I found out about when I started researching Men's Rights and what they were fighting for.
trueswordsexpert0909 Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @MisterIndividualGuy and u have to remember after a divorce the woman is typically awarded full custody, gets alimony and child support which all drive men to kill themeselves after a divorce especially after losing their children.
mmedefarge Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @trueswordsexpert0909 Men are usually not financially dependent on their abusive spouses & can leave at any time. I can understand the need for a safe-house if they've got kids &/or the spouse is a stalker(I worked in a hospital for years, saw female rape victims & female dv victims, never once saw any man admitted for injuries by a female. I've never seen a woman beating up a man but I've seen many men beating up women.)
trueswordsexpert0909 Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @mmedefarge also why dont u tell that to Daniel Broderick who tried to escape abuse from elizabeth broderick, even after eli had driven a truck thru the front door of his home, destroyed valuable artwork, and left repeated message threatening to kill him according to u he was never in danger(women dont kill often) well eli bought a gun walked into the room where daniel and his new wife were and emtied her gun into them bothIf he had recieved help from dv services they both might be alive today
trueswordsexpert0909 Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @mmedefarge well at least we can agree on something. However u again miss my point, which is men constitute dv victims as well yet are denied entry or help from dv shelters THAT RECIEVE FEDERAL FUNDING, I never once said that men are much more likely to be in the hospital/murdered(tho according to the links i sent its close) but if I did please go back in the comments find where I said it.
MisterIndividualGuy Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @trueswordsexpert0909 yeah I read somewhere on this article online where men commit suicide at a faster rate than women. I mean a lot of males don't really have a lot of "good role model" men to look up to
mmedefarge Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @trueswordsexpert0909 ( I'm not a man, chivalrous or otherwise.) Yes, there is disparity between the sentencing of men & woman for the same crimes. If females were as violent as you like to think, the damage would be much more apparent & would be reflected in hospital & homicide reports.
trueswordsexpert0909 Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @MisterIndividualGuy well then I am both indeed, "yea there's so much pressure on men to hide things-indicating that it's manly to just dealing with it"and I do wish that other people like the one im arguing with recognized this fact, this is not only why men underreport dv, but also why they commit suicide at four times the rate women do, For every 100 females ages 15 to 19 that commit suicide 549 males in the same range kill themselves. sad sad fact
MisterIndividualGuy Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @trueswordsexpert0909 yea there's so much pressure on men to hide things-indicating that it's manly to just dealing with it, rather than actually solving the problem-maybe pressing charges, going to marriage counseling, seeing a therapist...things like that
trueswordsexpert0909 Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @mmedefarge Again not everyone of those studies was from self reporting alot were actual studies. Please dont ignore the facts sir.
MisterIndividualGuy Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @trueswordsexpert0909 yea, Masculists advocate men's rights and adhere to, or promote, social theories and moral philosophies concerning issues of gender with respect to the interests and legal protection of men. So you're one. No prob about the sub. Glad we're friends.
trueswordsexpert0909 Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @mmedefarge "Self-reporting is not more accurate & it its also unprovable".Really are u sure u want to use this argument, okay firstly I dont know too many men who are willing to admit being beaten by their wife simply to skew data, secondly that little spin of yours works both ways women lie too u know.Due to the social stigma of manning up and dealing with it as well as the little help offered to male victims they are typically underreported so self surv is the best way.
mmedefarge Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @trueswordsexpert0909 I never said that "most men are in prison for assaulting their wives" so don't put words in my mouth. There are many more men in prison because of their greater propensity for violence in general. Self-reporting is not more accurate & it is also unprovable.
trueswordsexpert0909 Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @MisterIndividualGuy I dont know about masculist, I identify with being a mens rights activist(MRA) they mean the same thing right? So I guess I classify as being both. And I just noticed u subbed me, thanks for that and for that friend invite.
trueswordsexpert0909 Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @MisterIndividualGuy yes it was a very sick vid and its just a shame that i cant speak my mind on it(the guy only lets "approved" comments be posted).Im hoping in the next 20yrs that guys and girls will start speaking out more about all the disgusing misandry in this country. And as for Hilary becoming president, u know I would of actually preffered her over obama(hes met with NOW(largest fem org in america) more than any other group) and he does nothing but appease feminists.
MisterIndividualGuy Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @trueswordsexpert0909 OK first off...I watched that video....that was sick how they didn't even try to help or see if he was ok.Oh, and you're right. It's all bs. I wonder how the U.S. will be in the next 20 years. I'm surprised that Hilary Clinton didn't become president. So are you a Masculist ?
trueswordsexpert0909 Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @MisterIndividualGuy yep I see it all the time, guess u really cant call anyone a "true friend".And women have more than just special groups, they have laws that are passed just for them, VAWA, title ix, rape shield laws that discriminate against guys and in favor of women. Then they have the "white house council for women and girls" no similare council for men or even boys. So now its just outright favortism of one gender, which is bs.
MisterIndividualGuy Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @trueswordsexpert0909 ok I'll look it up, In a female's case-they would check and see if she's alright, and take her to the hospital. But it seems like guys just love to see other guys hurt, hurt other guys, kill other guys, insult other guy's masculinity, and other evil stuff, rather than HELPING THEM !
MisterIndividualGuy Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @trueswordsexpert0909 Yea I've heard that from many females as well. Like I said...it's basically all-around attack on males.Males are having sex with women and joining gangs or other social groups to impress the woman-or their "boys"-and not being able to raise their children because they're getting locked up for bad decisions. It's sad. Women have all of these "special" groups to help them feel better-all these talk shows-Oprah, The Wendy Williams Show, The View, Ellen Degeneres, even Dr. Oz
trueswordsexpert0909 Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @MisterIndividualGuy oh and im male yes.
trueswordsexpert0909 Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @MisterIndividualGuy also dude u dont even know the half of it, guys laugh at other guys(friends) getting hurt.I saw a vid on here where a guy was skateboarding and ended up falling off his board breaking two ribs and rupturing his spleen, and what do his so called "friends" do? They laugh while hes on the ground crying in pain, So I know what your saying and I think its just sadU can see the vid on here to type in "2 broken ribs and a ruptured spleen" and youll see what im talking about
trueswordsexpert0909 Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @MisterIndividualGuy yea srry im commenting this idiot whos trying to say that since we have a larger male pop in prison that somehow proves his position of "men being more violent in relationships"(even tho I sent him proof that, that was bs).Usually I get the "you must be gay" from feminists actually, their typically the ones to use heavy shaming language in place of facts/statistics lol
trueswordsexpert0909 Says:
Jul 31, 2010 - @mmedefarge also reality would also tell u that most men are in prison for committing crimes against Other men, not women so if your trying to use that to justify your position its kinda pathetic because most guys are not in prison for assaulting their wives.
